Fighting and Support for Our Wounded!

A Moment of Purpose and Play

On Thursday, September 11 through Friday, September 12, 2025, The Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch welcomed guests, golfers, sponsors and supporters for the 18th Annual Charity Classic for a two-day celebration of sport, community and giving.

Thursday Evening: A Kickoff with Meaning

The event began with a cocktail reception and keynote dinner on Thursday night featuring retired U.S. Army Four-Star General Paul E. Funk II as the featured speaker. Attendees enjoyed an intimate setting, chef-curated dinner and meaningful conversation, setting the tone for the weekend’s mission of service.

Friday: Two Tee Times, Full Heart

Friday’s schedule included a double shotgun start on the prestigious Pete Dye Course, with a morning (7:30 a.m.) and afternoon (1:15 p.m.) start. Golfers competed, networked, and enjoyed fellowship, all in service of raising funds for the cause.

Friday Evening: Gala, Auction & Celebration

The day wrapped with a gala: VIP cocktail hour, dinner, live auction, and a performance by the live band Emerald City Band.  It wasn’t just a tournament, it was a full-scale affair blending sport, social gathering, and philanthropy.

Benefiting Heroes: Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation

This year the event’s philanthropic focus centered on the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation. The funds raised support wounded veterans across Texas—helping provide therapeutic programs, financial aid, and opportunities for connection and healing through golf and other experiences.

By participating—whether on the course, at the dinner, or via sponsorship—guests directly supported veterans who have served their country and now deserve our support.

Why This Matters

  • Community + Cause: The Classic demonstrates how a golf tournament can go beyond sport to champion those who sacrificed for us.

  • Golf as Therapy: For many veterans, golf is a means of healing, camaraderie and renewal—making this partnership especially resonant.

  • Engagement at Every Level: From golfers and sponsors to dinner guests and auction donors, everyone had a role in making an impact.

  • Tradition of Giving: Now in its 18th year, the event reinforces the idea that “giving back is more than a tradition—it’s who we are” at Stonebridge Ranch.
